• Accounts are usually processed instantly, but first-time bookings may take a few hours for driving record review (8 AM–4 PM daily).
• Activate your plan by paying the $199 start fee and choose a start date. We recommend starting at least 24 hours before your first trip.
• If you live outside San Francisco, let us know where you’d like us to expand.

• Upshift offers fractional car subscriptions for people who typically drive up to 1–3 days/week (3,000–9,000 miles/year).
• Choose 4, 8, or 12 days/month — use them any days you like. Unused days roll over 1 month and extra days available as needed for flexibility.
• Plans include insurance (250, 500, or 750 miles/month). Unused miles roll over 1 month. Additional mileage billed at 50¢/mile.
• Delivery included with each booking, or pick up at our SF garage (1101 Sutter St.).
• Cancel anytime with 30 days notice. If your plan renews in less than 30 days, it will renew one last cycle. No minimum commitment.

1. Be a member of Upshift in good standing.
2. Do not use the vehicle for a purpose prohibited by the Upshift Membership Agreement.
3. Drive in accordance with all highway and other applicable laws and regulations.
4. Have a valid driver’s license (either US or foreign).
5. Report to us any moving violation that you have incurred since becoming a member.
6. Continue to meet the Driving Record Requirements in the Upshift Membership Agreement.
7. Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs that may adversely affect your ability to operate the vehicle, or do anything that would impair your ability to use the vehicle.

Unused days and miles roll over 1 month. Current month’s days/miles are used first. Rollover expires if not used in the following month.

• Yes, for $49/month. Days and miles in your account are retained.
• Minimum pause: 2 months. No new start fee when reactivating. Skip the waitlist if there is one.
• Days and miles rollover for 1 month for shorter periods of inactivity

• Reactivate within 12 months with no new start fee; after 1 year, a new start fee applies.
• Start fee is refunded if cancelled within 30 days of activation.

• One-time $199 fee to cover vehicle setup, delivery, registration, etc.
• 30-day satisfaction guarantee: if you cancel in the first 30 days, we’ll refund your start fee.

• All plans include our custom mileage-based insurance (250, 500, 750 miles/month).

• Yes! After your first month, upgrades/downgrades require a 3-month minimum. Changes take effect next billing cycle.

• Yes! Discounted for Mon–Fri drivers (1–3 days/week).
• Bookings start after 6 AM Mon and before 8 AM Fri. Holidays/weekends: $19/day extra for midweek plans.

Additional days beyond your credits are $59, $69, or $79 per day, depending on your plan (the bigger the plan, the lower the extra day rate).
